ham was very straightforward.  we did stop to scout it, but it wouldn't have been necessary.  however we did take a different route than what we had been discussing so perhaps the scout was a good thing.   we had been talking about staying as far left as possible.  as it turned out we started right of center to run between two holes, moved right and then lined up to run right to left between to exposed rocks.  the holes are in the center of this photo and the upstream exposed rock is on the left edge of the photo under the branches of the tree in the foreground.
